Anyone have any feedback/input on this sled?
Rode one for a few miles this year. Seemed like great sled overall, but poor wind protection. It is a very cold ride.
ANything to look out for? I've heard great things about these motors longevity.

If you ride when it is cold..They need a Big windshield...We put 18 inch ones on our XS sleds..

My buddy bought a brand new xrs gade 800 with the complete adjustment package this year, after I rode that I instantly sold my REV and bought an XP chassis.
If I could afford an XS chassis 800 XRS gade that would be the one for me,
Smooth as butter, awesome power, stock turbo cat can't hang, lightweight, 1.6 ice cobra is nice. I cant say enough good things about it. it is the Crème de la crème in my book.

If you need wind protection on this sled, you're doing it wrong and wasting a really nice suspension set up.

I absolutely love my 15 xrs 800 renegade! Never dreamed I would leave cats after 25+ years!! A friend let me take his 12 800 renegade for a day. After just 2 miles on the darn thing I was sold!! I was Looking for the whoops. Sold the cat the next few days and bought this one I have now, and never looking back! Good luck with yours!

After a crappy season and interesting snow conditions I gotta say i LOVE MY GADE!!! The power is awesome, quicker than the 15. 1.6 Ice Cobra track is incredible on trail and very good off trail. the ride is so adjustable. I can dial in a relaxed ride or a hyperride just adjusting shock settings. I have the pilot 5.7 with stock carbides on the outside keel and 7.5 shapers on the main keel. As far as cold, I added the medium flared windshield and dropped the hand guards. problem solved. telltale speedo showed 108 twice on the dream meter, no studs , no clutching, all stock. The third stage of the e-raves comes on like a light switch and you better pay attention. I love the LED aux. light. It really lights the terrain and sides vision is greatly improved. over all it is the best sled out the door I have ever ridden. I have been riding since 11 years old.

Oh , and one of my riding buds bought a 16 600 pro s , he is sad... stock for stock he has nothing for me, not even when I'm haulling 3 gallons of gas and a loaded medium pack on the linq system......just sayin

I have a 16 Renegade XRS, 2730 miles this year, and rode my Son's 15 XRS 1600 miles last year.
It is a fun sled to ride. Power to weight ratio is noticeable. :tu:
The R-Motion can be set up to the way you like to ride. It seems the harder you ride it, the better it rides.
I also have the 1.6 Ice Ripper track. You can still slide it around on the trails and it is really pretty good in the deep stuff. I think the shorty might be a little better for the tight trail, but if you like to play some in the powder. the Renegade will get you less stuck.
They did change the gearing on the 16 for more power off trail. Top speed on the 15 about 100+ on gps, the 16 about 96+ on a gps.
Also hard to beat a 4 year warranty.

I also don't ever get cold on mine. I actually feel warmer on this than my old Polaris Rush.

really, the suspension set-isn't close to enough for Cain's or Iron Dog, and most of those guys run big windshields.

You're right. I sometimes forget that people run these out on the open tundra. I'm in the trees on the twisty trails pretty much exclusively. I cross a lake every now and then only when I have to (low on gas). And I do all I can not to have to do that because it's lame...and cold. I'm not dressed for that type of exposure.
